Ben Crickmay is an accomplished coach and educator, bringing a rich blend of professional football experience and academic expertise to his role as Head Coach at DMC Brentwood. With a professional playing career at Southend United and Dagenham and Redbridge FC, Ben has an in-depth understanding of the demands of the game and the pathway to success in football.

Recently, Ben achieved his UEFA B coaching licence, further enhancing his qualifications in the field of player development. His dedication to nurturing young talent is underscored by his commitment to combining practical coaching experience with a strong theoretical foundation.

For the past five years, Ben has served as a Physical Education teacher at Brentwood School, where he has been responsible for leading curriculum development and overseeing the training of early career teachers. In addition to his teaching role, Ben is a tutor at the University of Buckingham, holding a Master’s degree in Education. His passion for exploring how educational theory can be effectively applied to coaching practices ensures that each athlete under his guidance reaches their full potential, both on and off the field.

As Head Coach at DMC Brentwood, Ben is eager to provide local children with a meaningful and developmentally enriching football holiday camp experience. He is committed to inspiring young athletes and equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary for success in football and beyond.
